Before you leave home, we will send you a detailed packet of useful information to help you prepare yourself for your time abroad. We’ll tell you what to pack, what to expect during your stay, current weather conditions, and special events to be aware of.
-Airport pickup
A DiscoverSevilla representative will meet you at the airport when you arrive in Sevilla.
-Hotel Accommodation for 3 Nights
For the first 4 Days, we will place you in a city-center hotel where you will receive program orientation. This brief orientation will help you ease into your new life in Sevilla. The cost of your hotel accommodation is included in your program tuition.
-Walking tour around Sevilla
Within the first few days, we will take you on a tour of Sevilla to introduce you to the historical city and get you oriented with your new surroundings.
-2 week intensive Spanish course
It’s best that you have at least basic Spanish skills before you embark on your internship. As such, we will provide you with enrollment in a 2-week intensive course at a private institution before you start working. There are classes for every level of Spanish, from beginner to advanced. The course is Monday through Friday for four hours each day.
-Housing accommodations
You have two options for living arrangements. We can place you in a shared flat, or you can stay with a Spanish family. If you live with a family, three meals each day will be provided. In an apartment, you must cook and clean for yourself.
- Relevant work placement
Based on the preferences you list in your application, we will try to find you a job in Sevilla that best suits your criteria. Most of the positions that we can offer are unpaid, but in some cases there is a stipend or some form of payment depending on your credentials and distance to travel. We arrange internships in industries such as hospitality, food and beverage, education, and tourism. If you are interested in being placed in a different area, please let us know and we will try to do our best to find you a job in that field!
-Certificate of completion
Once you have completed your class and work experience in Sevilla, you will receive a formal document signed by both the Spanish institute and your employer as proof of completion. This is a great reference for further job opportunities.
-Sevici bike pass
In Sevilla there is a bike rental service with stations at various points within the city. As part of your tuition, DiscoverSevilla will arrange your bike rental for you to make transportation quick, easy, and fun.
-Free trip to Morocco during any weekend you are in Sevilla.
