Train Station Santa Justa

The two and a half hour ride is less expensive than the airlines and faster than the the six hour haul on the bus. The Ave boasts restaurant and bar service plus an onboard movie. So, just as Police Academy 16 (dubbed in Spanish of course) comes to an end, you will be arriving in Madrid.
Buying and Reserving Tickets
There are three ways to purchase tickets:
Direct purchase at Santa Justa.
Online purchase at www.renfe.es.
At numerous puntos de venta around the city (specific locations can be found on the website).
Note: Phone sales are not available, but reservations can be made. Picking up tickets at the station is fast and easy at the many automated ticket machines.
The easiest way to get information and book tickets is through Renfe.es. This comprehensive webpage in English and Spanish includes schedules to every destination and the freedom to plan your own trip. Renfe will tell you where and when the train will stop and the exact length of the trip.
Station Information
Santa Justa is located on Avenida Kansas City and any cab driver will know how to get you there from anywhere in the city. The station is fairly clean, safe, and free from the creepy environment sometimes found in US train and bus stations.
Restaurants, cafes, and ice cream stands are on hand to kill hunger pangs. There are other travel resources as well, including tourist information booths, money exchange, and rental car stands. Before spending all your money, however, you may want to consult our rental car info, to compare prices.
