Calle Betis
Along the Triana side of the river, Calle Betis offers a nightlife for partygoers of all makes, models, and price ranges any night of the week. Starting at the Triana Bridge there are several great restaurants with beautiful moonlight views of the Rio and El Centro where you can enjoy traditional Sevillana cuisine. Continuing south along the river are several authentic Flamenco bars including Lo Nuestro, where locals pack late into the evenings for live music and dance. You, too, are invited if you dress for the occasion and leave the tennis shoes at home. Further down you will find the more international crowds at Big Ben, Mu dAqui, Long Island and Fundación. These bars all have cheap shots, beers, and tintos and are fun almost any night of the week. And just before you reach the Plaza de Cuba, check out Discoteca BOSS for great music and dancing. Don´t forget the taxi stand at the end for a good rate on getting home!
El Centro
Around the Cathedral, more tourist-oriented bars and restaurants offer pints of Guinness, cheeseburgers, fútbol games and even football games. The nighttime view of the Giralda is picturesque from the outside tables at P.H. Flaherty's and the Texas Lone Star Saloon, a.k.a. Tex-Mex will satisfy all of your homesick needs with loaded nachos, brownie sundaes, and Budweiser on tap. Both bars offer live international sports events, and with enough demand, will stay open until the wee hours of the morning for playoffs and national championships. Bring visiting friends and family to La Carbonería for a pitcher of Agua de Sevilla and a free flamenco show. It's tricky to get there so make sure before venturing out to La Carbonería that you know exactly where it is on the map (come in and we will gladly show you), or go with someone who knows where to find the big red doors to the bar's entrance on Calle Levies.
Alfalfa
Alfalfa, particularly Calle Perez Galdos, has a great social environment and in the past, there has been an overflow of people from the bars out into the street. With the recent prohibition of botellón, the bars now regulate more and require that everyone remain in the bars while drinking, although when the weather warms, it will be difficult to enforce any of these rules. Both locations of Bar Nostrum and Cabo Loco have long lists of tasty shots to choose from, for around 1.30€ each. If you follow the blue glow of the La Rebotíca sign you will not only find yet another long shot list, but also enormous plastic cups known as macetas, of Cruzcampo, tinto de verano, or mojito for 5€. Also...take a good look at the wallpaper the cut out of my childhood comic books.
La Cartuja
During the warm summer months, the disco scene heats up at La Cartuja. It´s a short taxi ride to get there, but the outdoor parties at Ritual and AQUA and well worth it. The two swimming pools and very cool VIP lounge shouldn´t be missed. In the winter months, the party heads indoors at Antique, where on the weekends, you will find Sevilla's more upscale crowd, even perhaps the Sevilla and Betis fútbol players.
