Discotecas

Discotecas

Sevilla is known for its nightlife, and its discos don´t disappoint.  Discos are located all over the city and cater to all crowds. There are so many discos in Sevilla that you will more than likely never go to even close to half of them.  New clubs come along every year and last year`s hot spot is now a Saturday night Star Trek convention. There is something for everyone, and if you like to go out we`ll tell you where to go, how to go, and how to get in.

Getting into discos can be difficult without your name on the list (we can get you on some…)  At some places they turn down about half of all the people that wait in line to get in.  Why? Because they are gilipollas.  If you get to the entrance and the bouncer asks you for an invitación or tells you it costs 30 €  to get in, well, you`re not getting in.  You can make a scene if you want to, but all it might do is help your pride. Just walk to the next one.

If you want to get in, you have to dress well. Appearance is everything to these bouncers, and they only want certain people in their sala.  Don`t go in large groups, 3 or 4 people per group at the most.  They will always ask how many are in your group, and if you have more than 4, fuera. Don`t speak loudly in line.  They tend to deny English speakers the most, so if you don`t speak much close to the bouncers, it can help.

Additionally, summertime is a wonderful experience in Sevilla since the regular clubs shut down and 'terrazas' (outside discotecas) open up allowing you to dance the night away under the stars!

Bucket List

Boss
Calle Fortaleza 13
Boss is located on Calle Betis closer to Plaza de Cuba than Puente Triana

Every Wednesday there is Hip Hop music and an international crowd. They let almost everyone in and entrance is discounted from 12 - 1 a.m.  if you have a pass. The club is huge and on the right night, it can be a lot of fun. On the weekends Boss is a different story. It is hard to get in and most socios are about 30 or so and dressed in suits with their hair slicked back with a pound of gel. However, it can still be a good time.

Antique

Calle Astronomia (Parq. Emp. Torneo II) 5

Found across the river and on the left once you cross the Puente de la Barqueta, Antique is one of the trendiest clubs and has the crowd to prove it. Local celebrities and futbol players are there almost every weekend.  It is very difficult to get in, but definitely worth a try.

Goa – Babilonia

 Avenida Garcia Morato

These two clubs are connected, but completely different. Goa is inside and very popular in the winter, Babilonia is an outdoor summer spot that has huge palm trees and a Middle Eastern style atmosphere.  There are low couches and hookahs on every table.  These two clubs are located on the other side of the river by the Feria grounds.

Kudeta (Buddha del Mar)

Plaza Legion
This discoteca has something for everyone. The first floor is more of an intimate louge area.  The second floor features a dance floor and a large terrace.  The terrace is full of large group seating areas as well as intimate cabanas. For the partyers, the dance floor is usually full on the third floor

Summer Terrazas

Casino
Avenida de Ma Luisa
Very popular terraza located near Parque Maria Luisa.
Try to get there early otherwise once a long line starts forming around 2 am.

Bilindo
Calle Paseo de las Delicias
A popular terraza for those who are unable to get in Casino but still just as fun!

Alfonso
Calle Paseo de las Delicias

Located next to Bilindo. Bilindo and Alfonso are very similar: fun terrazas in the park.

Ritual
Calle de Jose de Galvez

You have to take a taxi to get there but the terraza is very stylish - they even have swings upstairs.

Aqua
Calle Matematicos Rey Pastor y Castro

Antique closes its doors and opens up the Aqua terraza in their outside patio.  Very trendy and the owners are always trying to incorporate something unique... Two years ago, they had a human fish bowl; a huge aquariam with girls dressed as mermaids swimming around.
