In Sevilla, there is somewhere to go every night of the week. Whether you want to dance all night at the disco or just relax with friends at a Flamenco bar, Sevilla's nightlife will never disappoint you. Where you go largely depends on the season. In the summertime the bars and clubs along the river open and everyone drinks outside. During the cooler months the party moves to certain districts within the city on specific nights.
Sevillanos still practice el botellón, drinking in the street or plazas, which is now illegal in all of Spain. It was still allowed in Sevilla until December of 2006 and now can still be practiced with caution. It is a cheap way to start the night and can be a lot of fun. Be very careful, a lot of purses and cell phones get stolen while botelloning.
Also, be ready to start and finish late. Bars dont even get crowded until 1 a.m. and tend to thin out when people head to the disco at 3 or 4 a.m. If you partake, expect to see your share of sunrises.
