Mail Services
Within large cities, the Spanish mail system functions much like the American postal service. Deliveries are reliable and prompt. It is only outside metropolitan areas that things seem to slow down a bit. Regular mail is best sent through the central office as letters deposited in a buzón (pictured here) may not be picked up for days.
Post Offices
The main post office is located catty corner to the Cathedral on the Avenida de la Constitución, 32. Business hours are M-F 8:30 am to 8:00 pm, and Saturdays 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. Each zona in Sevilla also has its own regional office where you can receive and deliver letters and packages. You can check out the Official Spain Post Office website for more information: Correo
Letters and Postcards
Stamps and envelopes can be bought at any post office or state run Tabacos, which are marked by their distinctive yellow sign. Letters up to 20 grams or a postcard can be sent for €0.26 anywhere in Spain. To other parts of Europe the postage is 0.51 €. and to the US they charge 0.77 €.
International Services
Receiving packages:
Packages will be sent directly to your house. If you are not there a notification will be left, aviso de llegada, so that you can claim your package at the post office. Be sure to bring your passport when you go to make the pick-up.
Sending packages:
The main post office will send any mail you have, but you have less options than with other parcel delivery companies. An inexpensive option for those that are not in a hurry is to send paquete internacional económico. The mail will be sent by ship, but will not arrive for two to three months.
International Mail Carriers like Federal Express and UPS give you more options, but may be more expensive. They will make the pick up at your house and take it to its destination.

Sending Large Packages and Suitcases:
Air Cayco is a parcel service specializing in shipping from airport to airport. Their services may come in handy if you want to send back excess baggage and continue traveling with a lighter load. They charge approximately 5-6 € per kilo and make sure you have an estimation of the weight of your bags before calling.
