So what are the local attractions?
Europa Point
One of the most picturesque spots in all of Gibraltar! Viewers can see the most southern point of Spain and the most northern part if Africa, just 14km apart. The narrow straight not only divides continents, but it is where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean.
St. Michaels Cave
Once assumed to be the entrance of the subterranean passageway that connected Europe and Africa, this fascinating cave is filled with beautiful stalagmites and stalactites. It sits under the infamous rock of Gibraltar and developed over thousands of years of dripping water through the limestone rock.
The Apes Den
Hundreds of frisky Barbary Apes inhabit the rock of Gibraltar; who were thought to have migrated from Northern Africa through the underground passageway thousands of years ago! Besides in Gibraltar, these adorable monkeys can only be found in Morocco and Algeria. We will stop at the Apes Den to spend time with these primitive creatures and observe how they interact and play!
